The Consolidated Students of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (CSUN) collects a Student Association Fee. During the 2025-2026 academic year the fee is $2.97 for each undergraduate credit in which a student is enrolled. CSUN has elected not to pursue a fee increase for the 2026-2027 academic year
CSUN Student Government understands that it has a fiscal responsibility to ensure accountability to the student body and is committed to providing full financial transparency of how their CSUN Student Association Fees are spent.
CSUN is happy to provide additional information or documentation regarding the use of the CSUN Student Association Fee. Email csun@unlv.edu to request additional information.

CSUN is one of the largest funders of scholarships at UNLV for undergraduate students.
Approximately 50 positions for student leaders exist within CSUN across all three branches. A full breakdown of stipend awards for each of these positions can be found in the CSUN Bylaws, chapters 405 - 407. As detailed in Article IX of the CSUN Constitution, total CSUN compensation shall not exceed 22.5% of the total CSUN annual budget.
The Executive Branch of CSUN is comprised of three executive departments:
- Elections & Operations
- Marketing & Social Media
- Civic & Legislative Affairs
Expenditures in this area of the budget include the costs of running CSUN elections, internal professional development and training, printing of physical marketing materials (such as flyers, posters, etc.), CSUN swag and merchandise handed out at events across campus, events to educate and engage the student body on civic matters at the local, state, and national level, and any other programs or initiatives developed by these departments.
Funds in this area of the budget go towards the cost of senator-hosted mixers and programs for constituents within their specific academic colleges as well as training and development specific to the Legislative Branch.
Costs arise throughout the year that were not previously budgeted for and/or could not be predicted. Examples of how discretionary funds are used include, but are not limited to: one-time sponsorships of programs or initiatives on campus, emergency costs, special projects outside of the requirements of the bylaws, etc.
Discretionary expenditures from the Executive Board are approved by the Student Body President. Expenditures from the CSUN Discretionary are approved by the Senate.
General costs associated with running the Judicial Council as well as developmental training of Judicial officers.
