About Us
The academic affairs and education unit at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV oversees all aspects of the doctor of medicine (MD) program. The overarching goal of the office is to recruit, train, and graduate outstanding physicians who will address the healthcare needs of Nevada’s growing and diverse population. We pursue this goal by offering a 21st century curriculum that emphasizes hands-on training, problem- and team-based learning, community engagement, early clinical immersion, and the use of state-of-the art technology. In addition, we believe in creating a student-centered culture that promotes teamwork, lifelong learning, personal well-being, and professional success. To that end, we offer a comprehensive array of support services for our students, including academic counseling, career services, and wellness resources.
