Our Mission
The Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs provides resources and services that support and advance UNLV’s academic and administrative faculty communities at every stage of their professional careers. As part of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost (EVP&P), our goal is to create a supportive working environment that enables faculty to achieve the highest standards of excellence. In doing so, we strive towards ensuring UNLV’s diverse faculty are supported and honored for their achievements; informed of programs and resources to guide their teaching strategies to ensure student success; provided with leadership development programs to foster innovation, resiliency, improved decision making and productivity; and have access to a physical space where faculty can collaborate.
Processes and Services
As part of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, we offer resources and services to facilitate faculty excellence in the areas of teaching, research, and service.
Upcoming Events
Faculty Center
The UNLV Faculty Center promotes the professional development of all UNLV educators, researchers, and other academic professionals through a program of research, consultation, events, and resources. Services focus on teaching development, research support and career planning. The Faculty Center in Beam Hall is a hub for UNLV's faculty community, providing a welcoming lounge space, a quiet work area, conference room, practice teaching space, individual and small-group consultation space, and other faculty development resources and information.

New Faculty Onboarding
Welcome to UNLV! We’re excited to have you join our community of outstanding faculty. To onboard new faculty and get you started with working at UNLV, our campus provides a variety of programs, resources, and services.

Faculty Resources
The Office of Faculty Affairs has collected and organized campus resources for academic and administrative faculty into one central location. Resources are organized by faculty appointment (e.g., academic, administrative) and position (e.g., tenure-track, nontenure-track).

Leadership and Professional Development
The Office of Faculty Affairs offers several programs that help faculty leaders build new skills, communicate, and share ideas.

Awards and Recognition
UNLV and the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents recognize the achievements of faculty in teaching, research/creative activity, and service with a number of awards each year; as well as those achievements of undergraduate and graduate advisors and scholars.

UNLV Search Advocate Pilot Program
This two-year pilot program is intended to increase the diversity of candidate pools, ensure equitable practices for candidates and search committees, and guarantee compliance with search and hire policies and procedures.
