Academic faculty members who are new to UNLV, as well as those who want an inspirational boost, are invited to a panel discussion at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 6, in the William S. Boyd School of Law Moot Courtroom.
A panel of current faculty will focus on strategies for setting realistic, achievable goals that balance ambition with sustainability. Panelists will discuss common challenges such as perfectionism and over-commitment. The discussion will include practical approaches for breaking down big projects, aligning goals with long-term priorities, and celebrating progress along the way.
The panel is moderated by Haroon Sahotra, associate vice provost for faculty affairs. Panel members include:
- Libby Hausrath, professor, Department of Geoscience
- Monika Neda, professor and associate dean for research, Department of Mathematical Sciences
- Sajjad Ahmad, professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction
The discussion will draw from topics in the NCFDD webinar Skill #8 Overcoming Academic Perfectionism.
Doors will open at 9:30, providing an opportunity for informal networking and conversation before the session begins.
Please RSVP to attend this event.
