Film director Rod Blackhurst is partnering with UNLV Film for two projects this fall.  First, on Sept. 26, Blackhurst and producer Noah Lang will take students through the process of test screening films by screening the as-of-yet unreleased horror film Dolly. Those present at the screening will be allowed to submit private feedback and hear about what happens in this process…

UNLV Art student Xena Keo has won a $3,000 national scholarship from AIGA.  In its 29th year, the program awards $35,500 in scholarships to students across the country. This year 16 applications were recommended for awards—Eleven $3,000 scholarships and five $500 honorable mentions—for a grand total of $35,500.  Congratulations!

The UNLV Star of Nevada Marching Band was invited to be part of the Southern Nevada Water Authority's Fall watering restriction campaign. The video shoot was conducted in June and you can soon see the ads on television, radio, and print this fall.
