The University Technology Committee advises on policies and strategic issues related to current and future campus technology. It identifies faculty challenges in teaching, research, and service, and makes recommendations on the planning, selection, implementation, and adoption of technologies that impact our academic community. The committee also provides input on technology policies affecting faculty productivity and engages with and facilitates interactions between the Faculty Senate, the FS technology-related committees, such as the Instructional Infrastructure Committee, and the AI Shared Governance ad hoc committee, and OIT on technology decisions. 

Each college/unit elects one academic faculty member to serve a three-year term. 

6.17 - The University Technology Committee shall advise the Senate on matters of policy related to technology on campus, act to inform itself of faculty concerns related to the technology infrastructure on campus, and where it deems necessary, make recommendations for action to the Senate through the Executive Committee.
