The student handbook is the official document of policies, procedures, and resources of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV for medical students. This student handbook is a reference for medical students and others seeking information concerning the formal administrative policies, rules and regulations of the Kerkorian School of Medicine. All students are responsible for familiarity with the contents of the student handbook. Updates will be continuous throughout the year and the medical school may change policies, procedures, programs and other information, as circumstances require. Current policies, procedures, and standards in the Handbook will apply to all current students, regardless of class year. The most recently approved policies, procedures and standards will be followed.

Nothing in this document constitutes a contract or creates a contractual obligation on the part of Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. The School reserves the right to interpret and apply its policies and procedures, and to deviate from these guidelines, as appropriate in the particular circumstances and in accordance with the mission and goals of the School.

Every student enrolled at the Kerkorian School of Medicine is accountable for reading, understanding and abiding by the policies and procedures set forth in the student handbook, as well as the general rules and regulations of the university as set forth by UNLV.
