Brand Logo
The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine logo follows UNLV brand standards.
Logo Hierarchy
The horizontal logo is the primary logo and should be used unless space only allows for the vertical option. The secondary or vertical (stacked) option should only be used on promotional or other items where the horizontal logo would be too small. The logo with the tagline may be used on items such as ads, invitations, or event signage, but should not be used on promotional items or apparel without prior approval of marketing & communications. Please reach out to marketing & communications prior to using the logo with the tagline.

Department and Program Logos
Academic and administrative departments, as well as programs have their own individual logos.
Academic and Administrative Department Logos
Academic and administrative departmental logos follow the same UNLV branding. However, all departmental logos have the name of the department only and do not include “department of” as a part of the logo.
Program Logos
Program logos, due to their sometimes unique name or nature, may not follow the UNLV or school of medicine standard brand. Each program logo is taken on a case-by-case basis and is created by the marketing & communications department and subject to program and/or school leadership approval.
Logo Guidelines and Colors
As the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine logo is the core of our brand, great care should be taken when using the logo in any application. This logo, or a department logo for departmental communications, should be used on all communications or materials. Consistent and correct logo usage communicates, perpetuates, and enhances the brand to all audiences.

Minimum Size and Clear Space
Minimum Size Requirements
The school of medicine logo should never be smaller than 1.5” in width and .25” in height. Department and program logo sizes will vary. Their minimum width will also be 1.5”, but height will vary, depending on whether the department has one or two lines dedicated to its name. Program logos that don’t follow the university brand will have varying sizes. For individual logo requirements, please contact marketing & communications.
Horizontal
Vertical
Clear Space
To protect the logo’s integrity, the space around it should be at least equal to the height of KIRK KERKORIAN or SCHOOL OF MEDICINE (or one half of the size of the height of the full logo). Never place text, another logo, or any other graphics within this clear space. This applies to all department logos, as well. For program logos that do not follow the university brand, maintain at least .25” of clear space around the logo or contact marketing & communications for guidance.
