Editorial Style Guide
The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine strives to maintain a consistent style in written communications. The school generally follows Associated Press (AP) style, but some exceptions are made, depending on the circumstance.

Photography
Photography is a main driver of our brand. Impactful imagery that communicates our mission and values is key to our brand story. Our images relay the emotion, hope, skill, diversity, and promise of our students, faculty, and staff.
Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine photography should be used in all materials whenever possible. To schedule a photo shoot or assistance with images to use, please contact marketing & communications at communications@medicine.unlv.edu.
Videography
Videography has become the primary avenue for telling the story of the school of medicine. Video is the most compelling application for communicating our brand story and should reflect our diversity, teamwork, and spirit.
All videos should at a minimum include the branded outro. Videos of larger events or subjects should include both the branded intro and outro.

Social Media
The approved social media platforms for the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine are Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube. All departments, programs, units, or groups/organizations affiliated with the school of medicine must follow the marketing & communications department’s social media guidelines.
Before a request for a new social media account is made, the unit, department, program or student organization must access the type of content, and the frequency for which they’d be able to post, and evaluate whether it merits a new account or whether the content can be posted/shared via the social school of medicine accounts instead.
