Yoga compliments any sport or workout routine, it is also amazing by itself. Through the practice of yoga one aligns themselves mind, body, and spirit. Yoga benefits all 12 of your systems through the breath and postures combined not one alone. These are the concepts that Stephanie brings to the mat when she teaches her class. Stephanie is a certified yoga instructor, who has been practicing for eight years and teaching for four. She specializes in trauma yoga, yoga hands on assist and pilates. One of her favorite quotes is, “let the space between where you are and where you want to be inspire you not frustrate.” Stephanie has lived her life constantly on the move. Her parents were in the military, requiring her to move and live all over the world. She’s been to the tundra of Iceland all the way to the tropics of Hawaii. Stephanie honors and embraces all walks of life and cultures. She is currently seeking her bachelor’s degree to become a dietician. This is inspired by her belief that what one puts into their body matters. Mind, body, and spirit and can’t wait to see you guys in class helping you on your journey! Namaste

Meet your Zumba instructor: Megi! She is originally from Tirane, Albania and loves reading and cooking. She is a kinesiology major hoping to pursue a career in osteopathic medicine. However, once she steps foot in the gym, Zumba mode is activated. Licensed through Zumba Fitness, Megi will make sure you get an effective workout and enjoy yourself.  In her classes, you will not only be working on endurance, strength and cardio, but also dancing to global music like salsa, flamenco, and merengue.  She looks forward to seeing you in class!

Jessica is a yoga instructor here at UNLV. She teaches kids and adults, and is going to school for psychology. She plans to continue her education in psychology, and to continue her journey positively impacting our world and community.

Cristina has been practicing yoga for 7 years and received her RYT 200 in her hometown of Boise, Idaho this past June. Yoga has gifted her mindfulness, strength, and confidence in herself after the bitter-sweet relationship of being a professional ballet dancer. When she's not practicing yoga, she's probably surfing, hiking, or studying. Cristina is a senior studying Hospitality Management. Come to her yoga class to explore the mind-body connection, some good tunes, and to refresh after studying!
