Colleagues and friends,

As we observe Veterans Day, I want to take a moment to recognize and thank the members of our community who have served or continue to serve in our nation’s armed forces. Your courage, commitment, and sacrifice embody the values we hold dear … service, integrity, and dedication to others.

At the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine, we are proud of our robust military medicine program – one of the largest in the nation. Our strong partnerships with the United States Air Force, UMC, and the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, which allow us to care for those who have served and to train the next generation of physicians who will continue that mission. These collaborations reflect our deep commitment to Nevada’s veterans, service members, and their families.

To all our veterans, including faculty, staff, students, and alumni, thank you for your service and for inspiring us through your example. Tomorrow, and every day, we honor you and the vital role you play in strengthening our community and our state.
