Online Offerings

From architecture to women’s studies, UNLV offers more than 200 undergraduate and graduate online or hybrid courses in a broad range of subject areas. Our online graduate and undergraduate degrees and certificate programs allow you to earn your degree while eliminating distance and scheduling challenges.

Who Can Enroll?

Degree Seeking Students

All current UNLV undergraduate and graduate students may take online courses. If you are not currently a student in a UNLV degree program, then you must apply and be accepted to through the standard admissions process in order to enroll in an online degree program. See “How to Apply for Admissions to an Online Program” below.

Non-degree Seeking Students

Students can also take individual undergraduate and graduate-level online courses if they enroll as non-degree seeking students. If you would like to enroll in courses at UNLV without being officially accepted into a degree-granting program, you may apply to UNLV as a non-degree-seeking student.

Residency and State Authorization

Students in Nevada can take online courses. Proof of Nevada residency may be required. If you are outside of Nevada and wish to take online courses at UNLV, see our information on State Authorizations.

How to Apply for Admission to an Online Program

You must apply and be accepted to UNLV through the standard undergraduate or graduate admissions process in order to enroll in online and hybrid degree programs. See above for additional information regarding who can enroll in online courses and programs.

How to Register for Online Classes

Registering for online and hybrid classes follows the same process as any other class registration at UNLV. To register for one of our current online course offerings in MyUNLV, follow these steps:

  1. Go to MyUNLV and log in.
  2. In Search for Classes, select the term and subject area that you are interested in.
  3. Expand the “Additional Search Criteria” section.
  4. Select “Hybrid”, “Webbased”, or “Webbased with on/off campus meeting” under “Mode of Instruction”
  5. Complete the search process
  6. Follow the usual procedures to register for a class.
