Guest jazz drummer Gregg Bissonette performs with UNLV Jazz Ensembles I and II Nov. 27.

The concert will be conducted by Taras Krysa and Stephanie Council.

As Southern Nevada’s image as a mecca for professional sports continues to grow, so too do employment opportunities for UNLV graduates. 

Prima la musica will be sung in Italian with English supertitles; Thomas Pasatieri’s La Divina will be sung in English.

The orchestra is conducted by artistic director Taras Krysa.

The program includes John McMurtery performing Bach's Partita in A Minor for solo flute, Mozart's Quintet in E-flat Major for piano and winds, and Brahms' Clarinet Trio, Op. 114.

Co-presented by philanthropist Susan N. Houston, the College of Fine Arts hosts the free annual Art Walk to honor the Las Vegas community for its dedicated support of the arts and culture in Southern Nevada.

The album features the Boston Brass Quintet and Joseph Alessi, Principal Trombone of the New York Philharmonic and UNLV Distinguished Artist-in-Residence.

Making her way from the sugar beet fields of Idaho to the stage of a professional opera company — the College of Fine Arts Alumna of the Year is out to prove the genre is for everyone.

The concert features special guest vocalists Laura Taylor and Don Cunningham and trombonist Isrea Butler.

The concert opens the 2023-24 season and is conducted by artistic director Taras Krysa.
