UNLV student activists and groups from across the political spectrum express sadness and outrage over the murder of activist Charlie Kirk. UNLV’s Interim President Chris Heavey released the following statement.
While manufactured homes can be of high quality, they tend to depreciate faster than traditionally built homes.
In a letter to staff and students, UNLV interim president Chris Heavey condemned the shooting and acknowledged the rise of seemingly politically motivated violence. “To see violence enter those spaces is to see the very foundation of higher learning threatened,” Heavey wrote. “This comes amid an increasing wave of school-based and politically motivated violence, including the assassination of the Minnesota house speaker over the summer and recent school shootings in Minneapolis and today in Evergreen, Colorado.” Heavey finished his letter by expressing his support for those impacted by the tragic events, adding that free speech and debate are the bedrock of democracy.
