Asma Awan, Timothy Grigsby, Christopher Johansen (all Social and Behavioral Health), Chia-Liang Dai (Teaching and Learning), and Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine) published an article titled, “Explaining the Correlates of the Multi-Theory Model (MTM) of Health Behavior Change in Visual (Structural) Colorectal Cancer Screening Examinations,” in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. The article reified Sharma’s fourth-generation theory to test its applicability in explaining visual colorectal screening examinations and found it to be a robust model for designing interventions to promote screening programs.
