Planned Actions for AY 2024-2025
- Collaborate with campus partners to continue to build a culture of DEI-related institutional data collection and assessment to aid continuous improvement.
- Facilitate continuous implementation of best practices to recruit and retain a diverse university community.
- Facilitate continuous implementation of best practices in creating a DEI-conscious learning environment.
- Create a more aligned and centralized DEI infrastructure.
- Continue conversations and planning in collaboration with Student Affairs to introduce, develop, and implement the Intergroup Relations Dialogue program for UNLV.
- Utilize the IDI work as a tool for training and moving the needle on cultural competency, identify, and humility.
- Development and engagement with MSI-AANAPISI and HSI initiatives.
- Working with Student Affairs through the diversity dialogues, Intergroup Relations and dialogues, community engagement and support for the new Multicultural Center to open in the fall.
- Supporting and implementation of the 2024 SPH-NMHEC Impact Summit in November.
- Continue working with Deans towards building the DEI movement on campus through the Shared Equity Leadership Model.
- Continue to provide emergency funding, group mentoring, and undocumented student support through programming at the Intersection, as well as implementation of first generation initiatives and programming for faculty and staff.
