School of Nursing Part-Time Instructors (PTIs)
Become part of the School of Nursing family as a PTI and teach the next generation of nurse leaders.
Introduction
A part-time instructor (PTI) in nursing education is pivotal in preparing and mentoring students to succeed in today’s dynamic and diverse healthcare environments. They provide valuable knowledge and insight directly from the nursing field, a critical component of students’ learning experience.
- Share your experience: Bring your nursing experience into the classroom and clinical settings. Your insights, stories, and expertise are invaluable in preparing students to navigate realistic clinical environments and handle complex patient scenarios across all specialties.
- Empower future nurse leaders: Connect with aspiring nurses who seek your guidance and mentorship. Your influence helps them develop critical thinking, technical skills, and the confidence to become leaders in patient care.
- Enhance your career: Teaching is not just a way to give back; it’s a chance to grow professionally. PTIs often find that their teaching experience enhances their clinical expertise, communication skills, and leadership abilities.
- Enjoy academic perks: PTIs who meet requirements may have access to valuable resources and benefits, including healthcare coverage, financial assistance, and more.
