The Jean Nidetch Care Center is accepting requests for educational presentations for classes, registered student organizations, campus groups, and individual viewing.
Presentations introduce faculty, staff, and students to topics related to power-based violence, consent, relationships, self care, and resources available through The Care Center and across campus.
Current presentation topics include:
- About The Care Center: Learn about The Care Center services and how the center supports students, staff, and faculty affected by power-based violence.
- Let’s Talk About Consent: Explore the meaning of consent and communication skills that help promote a culture of consent.
- The Power of Romance in Relationships: Learn about healthy, unhealthy, and abusive relationship dynamics, as well as the importance of boundaries.
- Journey to Self-Care: Explore self-care tools and strategies for victim-survivors of power-based violence.
- Active Bystander Intervention (new): Build skills to become an active bystander and help create a safer campus community.
The Care Center can also work with groups to develop customized presentations on additional topics.
