The Raiders on Sunday honored a fan for leading a life-saving effort for another fan who was severely injured in a crash just blocks away from Allegiant Stadium.

The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) has announced the appointment of gaming industry veteran Daron Dorsey as its new executive director, effective March 1, 2022. Dorsey will succeed Marcus Prater, who has served in the position since 2008.

It also selected Alan Feldman as the recipient of the 2021 Peter Mead Memorial Award Honoring Excellence in Gaming Media & Communications.

Last year, the United States recorded the largest single-year increase in the murder rate since national record-keeping began more than 60 years ago. In Nevada, the murder rate rose 27 percent from 2019 to 2020.
