A new venture fund is stepping onto the scene in Las Vegas, with the goal to close the funding gap for Nevada startups.

Nevada Studios, a partnership between Birtcher, UNLV and other backers of Lange’s bill, also has one lobbyist on its payroll — former Assm. Shannon Bilbray-Axelrod (D-Las Vegas), who left the Assembly last year to make an unsuccessful bid for Clark County Commission.

The Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, hosted the 2025 Nevada Business Hall of Fame event, celebrating influential business leaders in Las Vegas and their contributions to the local community.

The UNLV Lee Business School will honor Nevada Business Hall of Fame inductees. It's all happening Thursday, May 8 at the Encore Ballroom at the Wynn.

These selfless legal professionals, representing organizations such as the Clark County Bar Association, the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, exemplify the enduring promise of the great American experiment.
