For most of the country, buying a lottery ticket is as simple as driving to the nearest convenience store or gas station. But for some, getting their hands on a Mega Millions or Powerball ticket requires a trip to another state entirely.

More than a third of Clark County School District students were chronically absent from school during the 2022-2023 school year, according to the state Department of Education. That 38.3 percent is a slight improvement from the prior school year’s 40.6 percent, but it’s still much higher than the school district’s pre-pandemic chronic absenteeism rate of 21.9 percent.

The study provides evidence from computational models, insurance claims data and observations from brain cells in Alzheimer’s patients. Sildenafil is the main component of drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction (Viagra) and pulmonary arterial hypertension (Revatio).

It's no secret there's a nationwide nursing shortage, but there's one specific type of nurse that local advocates say the Las Vegas valley especially needs more of: forensic nurses.

Nevadans will not see a total solar eclipse on April 8, but we will see some of it. The eclipse is expected to cross through the middle of America, stretching 13 states from Texas to New York.

Built in 1957, the Tropicana Hotel is a staple on the Las Vegas Strip, and guests are feeling nostalgic as the legendary resort will soon close its doors. “I think it’s pretty cool to be one of the last people to stay here,” tourist Dawn Baptist told Nexstar’s KLAS.
