Rebecca Gill (Political Science and WRIN) and co-author Valerie Sulfaro (James Madison University) published the article "Title IX: Help or Hindrance?" in the Journal of Women, Politics & Policy in its special issue on the #MeTooPoliSci movement. In the article, the authors provide practical guidance for those who have experienced sexual harassment or assault through the lens of their own experiences of harassment. The authors argue that the Title IX process is risky and insufficient for protecting victims and that professional associations should take a more active role in discouraging misconduct.
