Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine) coauthored a manuscript titled “Application of the multi-theory model to improve self-reported determinants of appropriate antibiotic prescribing among veterinary students” with coauthors from Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, Bam University of Medical Sciences, University of California, San Francisco, Kerman University of Medical Sciences, and the Pasteur Institute of Iran in the journal Scientific Reports (Impact factor 4.9). The study designed, implemented, and evaluated an educational intervention based on Sharma’s Multi-Theory Model (MTM) of health behavior change to improve self-reported determinants of appropriate antibiotic prescribing among veterinary students. The study confirmed the efficacy of MTM-based intervention and corroborated evidence for future reification of this theory for educational interventions.
