Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine) coauthored an article titled, “Associations Between Parental Misperceptions of Preschoolers’ Weight and Diet- and Physical Activity-Related Parenting Attitudes and Practices” in collaboration with researchers from Chongqing Medical University in the Maternal and Child Health Journal (Impact factor 1.7). The article concluded that in China, parental misperceptions of preschoolers’ weight were associated with specific diet- and physical activity-related parenting attitudes and practices. These findings can guide the development of family-based health education/health promotion interventions for childhood weight management.
