Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine) coauthored an article titled, “The effects of saffron supplementation on inflammation and hematological parameters in patients with sepsis: A randomized controlled trial,” in the Nutrition Journal (impact factor 4.4) in collaboration with coauthors from the Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. The study found beneficial effects of saffron in improving inflammatory markers and some clinical parameters among sepsis patients that need to be tested through further large-scale trials.
