Scheduling an Appointment
All admitted students in the College of Fine Arts are encouraged to meet with an advisor once each semester. All scheduled appointments will be completed using one of the following formats:
- Virtual appointments through Zoom (screen-sharing is available)
- Phone appointments through a preferred phone number
- In-person appointments at the advising center (CDC-2)

Current majors: You may self-schedule your advising appointment by using your ACE account and following the instructions here: Login to Rebel Success Hub. When you are scheduling, please be sure to add comments to share more about your appointment needs.

Reasons to Schedule An Appointment
Some reasons to meet with an advisor are described below.
Selecting Courses
- Discuss course requirements, sequencing, and prerequisites
- Verify that your courses are applicable to your degree plan
- Cover how your degree plan relates to your career goals
- Review transfer credits or request an equivalency review
Discuss Graduation
- Make changes to your schedule or graduation timeline
- Discuss the graduation process
Declare Major/Minor or Withdrawal
- Declare a Fine Arts major or minor
- Discuss withdrawing from one or more courses
Petitions, Resources, and Other Miscellaneous Forms
- Complete financial appeals, petitions, excess credit, veteran, and other miscellaneous forms
- Learn about academic resources and involvement opportunities at UNLV
- Learn about program, department, college, or university policies
- Provide feedback about your experiences at UNLV

Drop-in Hours
The CFA Advising center will conduct appointments only as unscheduled drop-ins. If you are doing a change of major, please call 702-895-5390 to schedule a 1 hour appointment. Drop-ins are seen on a first come, first served basis by major at the locations listed below. Please click the drop-down arrow for your major to see the location of drop-ins for the day.
Our advisors use Zoom for virtual advising appointments with students. If you are connecting using your phone, you may be required to download the Zoom app. Unless a different location is listed, our in-person drop-In appointments are held in our offices at CDC - Building 02.
