Risk Management and Safety’s Occupational Safety programs are committed to promoting a safe, healthy, and productive environment for UNLV employees, students, and guests. Through the development and implementation of safety programs, ergonomic assessments, training, and proactive hazard identification, the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Unit works to reduce workplace risks, prevent injuries and illnesses, and support employee well-being. Our programs are designed to promote regulatory compliance with agencies such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) while encouraging a culture of safety, injury prevention, and continuous improvement across the university.

Job Safety and Health Posters
According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in 29 CFR 1903.2 and the Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 618.6428), employers are required to post a job safety and health poster. The location of the poster should be in a conspicuous place where information is commonly posted for employees. Reproductions of the posters must be at least 8-1/2 inches by 14 inches.
