About the Award
The Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering Poster Printing Award offers undergraduate engineering students with a demonstrated record of academic excellence a grant to offset research poster printing costs.
Funding Process
Undergraduate students must submit a complete application to be considered for this funding. Applications will be reviewed and acceptances will be communicated via email. Once accepted, awardees are expected to email OUR a digital copy of their poster (in the standard 36 in. height x 48 in. width). OUR will print and deliver posters to the symposium site.
Awardee Requirements and Expectations
Awardees are expected to present at the Undergraduate Research Symposium hosted at the end of the fall and spring semesters.
Eligibility and Consideration
To be eligible for consideration, you must:
- Be a currently enrolled UNLV undergraduate student with a declared major in the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering.
- Have an accepted abstract submission for the Undergraduate Research Symposium.
- Await application approval prior to printing your poster. We will not accept applications for posters that have already been printed.
Please note that if your poster presentation has been accepted to a non-OUR sponsored academic conference, you are still welcome to apply for the award as long as you commit to presenting your poster at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

- Curriculum Vitae (CV). For instructions, please peruse the following samples: 1) Arts, 2) Social Sciences, and 3) STEM.

Disclaimer About Last Minute Poster Changes

However, OUR has sent your poster for printing, we cannot make new changes at that point. We are unable to reprint posters once they have been printed.
