Starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, April 13, SentinelOne advanced threat protection will be enabled to help detect and manage cybersecurity threats on the X: and Y: network shared drives.
What to Expect:
The X: and Y: drives will be unavailable from 6 - 6:30 a.m. as the service is restarted. Please save and close any files on the X: and Y: drives before 6 a.m. to avoid losing work.
If you experience issues after 8 a.m. Monday morning:
- Check the Technology Status page
- Restart your computer
- Contact the IT Help Desk if the issue continues
How SentinelOne Protects You:
- Proactive Threat Detection: Looks for suspicious activity and potential threats, even ones we haven't seen before
- Real-Time Protection: Blocks viruses, ransomware, and suspicious activity the moment they appear to help prevent damage
- Disruption-Free Security: Provides quiet, background protection that stops issues before they become problems
Thank you for your continued support as we enhance UNLV's security to better protect the university's devices and data from continuously evolving cyber threats.
