Support childhood literacy and the alumni-founded non-profit Spread the Word Nevada by participating in the College of Education Book Drive! Through July 25, the College of Education Alumni Chapter is seeking donations of new and gently used books, as well as raising funds through a virtual giving page.
Physical Book Drive
Bring books to the UNLV College of Education Dean’s Office in the Carlson Education Building (CEB) in Room 301. The office is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Book Donation Guidelines
- New and gently used books are welcome!
- Preferred reading levels: PreK–5th grade (ages 0-11), with a special need for 4th & 5th grade chapter books.
- Please no:
- Encyclopedias, dictionaries, activity books, workbooks, or coloring books
- Books in languages other than English or Spanish
Virtual Book Drive
You can support this initiative by making a donation on our webpage. STWN can purchase a children’s book for just $2, so every dollar donated truly makes a difference.
You can also join us on Saturday, July 26, 2025 as books are cleaned and prepared for distributions to schools throughout the state.
