The Rebel Career Champions Network (RCCN) Resources Subcommittee is excited to announce the opening of nominations for the RCCN Eileen McGarry Champion of the Year Award! This award recognizes a faculty or staff member who exemplifies the mission of the RCCN through exceptional engagement, collaboration, and leadership in advancing the Career Everywhere initiative at UNLV. The honoree will have their name added to a perpetual plaque and will receive a $1,000 monetary award. Make sure to complete the nomination form. 

Eligibility

The subcommittee is seeking nominees who have demonstrated “above and beyond” involvement that exceeds the baseline expectations outlined in the RCCN Manual of Operations. It is preferred that nominees are current participating RCCN Champions and have completed the RCCN WebCampus training. Activities and contributions between Jan. 1, 2025, and the nomination due date of Feb. 20, 2026, can be considered. Nominators may submit nominations for more than one individual. Self-nominations are welcome.

Timeline

Nominations are due Friday, Feb. 20, 2026. The selection committee will review submissions in late February, and the successful nominee (and nominator) will be notified in early March. The award will be presented at the Academic Achievement Awards on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. In addition, the recipient will have their name added to the RCCN Champion of the Year display plaque.
