LockDown Browser Now Available for Chromebook

We are happy to announce that LockDown Browser is now available for Chromebooks.

Previously, the software had limitations that made the experience difficult and, at times, inaccessible for Chromebooks users, and we disabled it.

Now, the latest release of LockDown Browser for Chromebooks supports most features and your students can now use Chromebooks to complete your quizzes that require LockDown Browser.

A quick heads-up: Lockdown Browser’s spreadsheet editing and accent character tools are still unavailable on Chromebooks. If your quizzes rely on these features, please keep this in mind while setting them up. We’ll let you know when these features are fully available.

For more information on how to get started with LockDown Browser, please visit our Respondus page and the LockDown Browser Instructor Guide. If you have any questions or need assistance using LockDown Browser, please contact the IT Help Desk.
