UNLV officials are warning the public to beware of a scam artist who claims to be collecting money on behalf of the university.

Officials recently received reports of someone asking for donations to support "club football" at UNLV. Potential donors were told that club football was a program for students who played the game at a lesser level than the regular football team and that the club team was trying to raise money for a trip out of state.

No such program exists at UNLV.
