What:

Stephen Brown, director of UNLV's Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) will provide an update on Southern Nevada's economic conditions and a forecast for next year. Among the topics to be addressed include the tourism, gaming, employment, construction, and housing sectors.

When:

8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 16

Details:

Bruce Spotleson, director of corporate partnerships at Vegas PBS, is the master of ceremony. Brent Hathaway, dean of the UNLV Lee Business School, will provide opening remarks.

The conference includes a panel discussion on the obstacles and opportunities for economic growth and will feature the following speakers:

  • Glenn Christenson from Velstand Investments, LLC
  • Terrence M. Clauretie, UNLV Professor Emeritus of Real Estate
  • Stephen Miller, UNLV economics professor
  • Mary Riddel, professor and chair of the UNLV Lee Business School economics department

Until Dec. 9, the registration fee is $80 per person and $75 for two or more people from the same organization. After Dec. 9, the fee increases to $100 per person. Registration includes continental breakfast and a copy of the presentation. Registration information and an agenda can be found on CBER's website.
