UNLV to Celebrate Spring 2017 Commencement at Thomas & Mack Center May 13

More than 2,800 students from 33 states and 50 countries to participate in 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. ceremonies; expected grads up 11 percent from 2016.

UNLV will welcome the newest members to the class of 2017 at its Spring Commencement.


Saturday, May 13 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

More than 2,850 undergraduate, graduate and professional students are eligible to participate in this spring’s commencement. Graduates range in age from 19 to 85, and hail from 33 states, the District of Columbia, and 50 foreign countries. Approximately 84 percent of graduates are Nevada residents. Since 1964, UNLV has awarded nearly 126,000 degrees.

UNLV President Len Jessup will honor a few select graduating students during the ceremony for their outstanding academic and community achievements. During the afternoon ceremony, Jessup will also present Ted Lee, a longtime university supporter and namesake of the Lee Business School, with an honorary doctorate.
