From extreme weather to historic droughts, crop failures to catastrophic wildfires, the effects of the climate crisis are here today and impacting the nation and the world.
Al Gore will discuss the impacts of a warming world and how people can contribute every day to the Global Sustainability Revolution. The event will include remarks from former U.S. Senator Harry Reid.
For more than 40 years, Gore has been at the forefront of climate leadership and is the subject of the Academy Award-winning film “An Inconvenient Truth.” Gore has prioritized solving the climate crisis throughout his career as a congressman, senator, and vice president. He’s also the chairman of the Climate Reality Project, a nonprofit he founded in 2005 that’s devoted to solving the climate crisis.
Gore is also a bestselling author of five books, including Earth in the Balance and An Inconvenient Truth, which are dedicated to the climate crisis and its solutions.

A limited number of tickets are still available for the event. Tickets are free and may be picked up at the UNLV Performing Arts Center Box Office between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
