UNLV students will return to campus for the spring semester on Tuesday, just over a month after a gunman opened fire on campus killing three professors and injuring another. UNLV’s campus will see an increase in security guards for the spring semester as well as a variety of resources including counseling for students and faculty.

UNLV created and launched several resources to help students and staff cope, including the Rebel Recovery Program. On Tuesday, for the first day of classes, the Tribal Nations from Southern Nevada will perform a traditional Healing Ceremony at the Alumni Amphitheatre at 1 p.m.
