Students in the medical field are calling their new gig a once in a lifetime experience. Nursing students at UNLV, CSN and NSC administered COVID-19 vaccines at the UNLV student union mass vaccination site on Wednesday.

Some Clark County educators were elated to receive their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine last week, while many others met with disappointment during a confusing rollout, including some who booked appointments only to be turned away at inoculation sites.

A vaccination site at UNLV’s Student Union is open and qualified candidates and volunteers are focusing their efforts on vaccinating education employees.

It could be the most important piece of the puzzle when it comes to reopening the economy.
