Despite putting out a record number of vaccinations earlier this week, the Clark County COVID-19 mass vaccination site at Cashman Center will close on May 5, public health officials announced Thursday.

The UNLV COVID-19 vaccination clinic is now accepting walk-ins for vaccinations. The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Appointments are open for Nevadans ages 16 and older to schedule their COVID-19 vaccination.

In stark contrast to earlier this year, Clark County has plenty of COVID-19 vaccine this week, as well as staff to administer it and space in which to do so. Local public health officials now face a different challenge.
