Some of the brightest minds in gaming, from academics and stakeholders, gathered Thursday at UNLV to talk about ways to raise public awareness on responsible gaming.

They entice you with flashing lights, bells and whistles, attractive hosts and inexpensive food.

The American Gaming Association will head to Las Vegas next week for the next leg of its national Get to Know Gaming campaign and to support annual Responsible Gaming Education Week.

Speakers and panelists addressed the issue Tuesday on the second day of the four-day International Conference on Gambling and Risk Taking sponsored by UNLV’s International Gaming Institute at Caesars Palace. About 650 people from 34 countries are attending.

Longtime gaming industry executive Alan Feldman has joined the International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as a Distinguished Fellow in Responsible Gaming.
