Professor Sheila Bock (Interdisciplinary, Gender, and Ethnic Studies) and doctoral student Claudia Chiang-Frost (Cultural Studies, International Education, and Multicultural Education) published a co-authored book chapter in the edited volume Narrative Knows No Boundaries: Exploring the Claims and Limits of Telling (2026, University Press of Mississippi). Their chapter, titled "Personal Stories of Not Getting Murdered: Narrating the Ambiguity of Potential Victimhood in the My Favorite Murder Podcast," considers the contested terrain of experience shaping the stories women share about danger, blame, and potential victimhood in true crime media.
