Radiochemistry Ph.D. candidate Becca Manns (Chemistry) is the recipient of a prestigious Rickover Fellowship from the South Carolina Universities Research and Education Foundation (SCUREF). The appointment, which begins Sept. 1, is offered to students in pursuit of graduate study and research supportive of the mission and goals of the National Nuclear Security Administration - Division of Naval Reactors (NNSA-DNR) program. The renewable fellowship provides students with full tuition, a generous stipend, conference travel, and support for an on-site practicum at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL). Manns will remain affiliated with the Nuclear Science and Security Consortium (NSSC), a multi-year UNLV radiochemistry collaboration with the University of California, Berkeley (PI, Ken Czerwinski) from which Manns has been supported since 2022.
