Notable: Marcus Civin, Pete Reyes, Clarence Gilyard, and the Nevada Conservatory Theatre

Marcus Civin (Art), Pete Reyes (Academic Resources), Clarence Gilyard (Film), and Nevada Conservatory Theatre (Theatre) all were recognized by Desert Companion/NPR in their "Best of the City 2019" issue in February. All were included in the Arts + Entertainment section. Civin was selected as "Best Figure in Local Culture," while Reyes was selected as "Best New Sound." The Beast, which featured a lead performance by Gilyard, was recognized in the "Best Local Film Production" category. Nevada Conservatory Theatre was selected "Best Local Theater Company."
