Manoj Sharma and Ravi Batra (Public Health), in collaboration with Kavita Batra (Medicine) and the Global Burden of Disease 2023 Vaccine Coverage Collaborators, have co-authored a major study published in The Lancet, "Global, regional, and national trends in routine childhood vaccination coverage from 1980 to 2023 with forecasts to 2030."

The study highlights both historic progress and recent setbacks in global vaccine coverage, including COVID-19–related disruptions and persistent inequities in zero-dose children across low-resource and conflict-affected regions.
