Manoj Sharma and Mahsa Pashaeimeykola (both Social and Behavioral Health) presented and published a paper titled “Open education utilizing open pedagogy in enlisting and training graduate scholars in public health” in the Proceedings of the 20th Annual International Technology, Education and Development Conference held in Valencia, Spain. The article discusses Sharma’s innovative approach of conducting open education-based monthly webinars to enhance recruitment and retention in the Graduate program in Social and Behavioral Health at UNLV.  Pashaeimeykola, a recruit from this effort, is now a graduate scholar.
