Lung-Wen Antony Chen (Environmental and Occupational Health), Prosun Roy, Yi-Tung Chen (both Mechanical Engineering), and their colleagues published an article on "High time-resolution fenceline air quality sensing and dispersion modeling for environmental justice-centered source attribution " in the journal Atmospheric Environment.

This study evaluated air pollution exposure of a Las Vegas community and impact from a nearby industrial source. The research method highlights low-cost air quality sensors (LCAQS) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation, which may be applicable for other environmental justice assessments with resource constraint, providing information for stakeholders to take necessary actions to address air quality concerns.
