Honors: Joseph McKay and Gail Sammons

Joseph McKay (Law and Hospitality) and Gail Sammons (Hospitality), along with Kimberly Addair, '18 MA Urban Leadership, received the Best Proposal Award Teaching Track from the West Federation Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education Regional Conference for their work developing a human trafficking awareness training module for hospitality educators. Their training module was designed to provide hospitality educators and students with the proper knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to better combat human trafficking within the hospitality industry. McKay is pursuing an LLM degree from the Boyd School of Law and a PhD from the Harrah College of Hospitality.
