Graduate student Farhana Khandoker (Public Health), along with co-author Timothy Grigsby (Social and Behavioral Health), recently published a research article titled “Factors Associated with High Sugary Drink Consumption Among College Students in Nevada” in the Nevada Journal of Public Health, Volume 23 (2026).
The study used data collected from college students in Nevada to examine factors associated with high sugary drink consumption. The research focused on understanding students’ beverage consumption patterns and identifying factors that may contribute to unhealthy dietary behaviors.
This research contributes to a better understanding of health behaviors among college students and provides valuable information that may help guide future public health education, research, and health promotion initiatives.
