Chad Scott (Teaching and Learning) participated on a panel discussion at the Third Annual Las Vegas Arts and Culture Summit, on August 21 at the Historic Fifth Street School, Downtown Las Vegas.
The panel was called, "SO, YOU WANT TO BE A TEACHING ARTIST?" and was moderated by Cory Goble, senior cultural specialist for the City of Las Vegas. During this session, attendees learned from professional teaching artists and arts organizations how to effectively work with artists in classroom settings and informal learning spaces. Artists were introduced to translating their artistic skills into lessons that can be delivered to multiple audiences; Arts organizations learned how to work with teaching artists on programs.
