Bunn from Sam Houston State University; Chris Eschbach from 12th State Nutrition; Joel D. Reece from Brigham Young University Hawaii; Gregory J. Welk from Iowa State University; and Brett A. Dolezal from University of California, Los Angeles published "The WEAR-BOT checklist: A risk of bias tool for evaluating validity and reliability research in wearable technology." The WEArable Technology Risk of Bias and Objectivity Tool (WEAR-BOT), addresses the need for a comprehensive and systematic way to assess bias in studies examining consumer-grade and research-grade wearable devices.
